I’m an editor and freelance magazine writer based in the Washington D.C. area.
Most recently, I was the editor-in-chief at Sightline Media Group, leading eight publications focused on national security, business and technology. I’ve worked as a reporter at SpaceNews, as a columnist with The Virginian-Pilot newspaper in Norfolk, Virginia and as an editor at technology magazines in Washington. My byline has appeared in Runner’s World, the AARP Bulletin, Washingtonian, the New York Times (once), Distinction magazine, Arlington magazine, Bethesda magazine, Hampton Roads magazine, Complete Woman (seriously) and even Mary-Kate & Ashley (I know.)
Obligatory biographical information: I was born in Ohio. I graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I have run as many as six three marathons, if you count the one that was virtual. I once visited the world’s northernmost bowling alley, 71 miles north of the Arctic Circle.
